BOYS BASKETBALL: No. 5 Southeast Goes on Late Run to Defeat No. 8 Southwest

Courtesy of AlphaMedia USA Lincoln.LINCOLN–(KFOR Jan. 10)–Lincoln Southeast used a late 11-2 run to come away with a 58-51 boys basketball victory Friday night at Lincoln Southwest.
The No. 5 Knights (8-2) went on that run over the final four minutes of the game, after the No. 8 Silver Hawks rallied from being nine-points down. Southwest led 49-47 with 4:11 left in the game.
Mari Shumaker led Southeast in the win with 14 points, while Mike Ngoyi added 12 for the Knights, who are coming off a seven-point overtime loss to Lincoln Northeast on Tuesday night.
Southwest (6-3) got a game-high 16 points from Uzziah Sanders, while Makkiah Sanders added 15 points in the loss for the Silver Hawks.
Southwest plays at Class A No. 2 Omaha Westside on Saturday.
