HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The High Point Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning. At around 12:19 a.m. on Saturday, officers came to the 3300 block of Colony Drive after getting a report of an assault with a deadly weapon. Investigators say that multiple shots were fired into a home on Colony Drive that had four people inside it. One person was found dead at the scene as a result of the shooting and two others were taken to a local hospital. The HPPD's Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the deadly shooting. There have been no charges filed at this time. There is no further information available at this time.
