1 dead, 2 hurt after shots fired into High Point home

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — The High Point Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting that took place in the early hours of Saturday morning.
At around 12:19 a.m. on Saturday, officers came to the 3300 block of Colony Drive after getting a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators say that multiple shots were fired into a home on Colony Drive that had four people inside it. One person was found dead at the scene as a result of the shooting and two others were taken to a local hospital.
The HPPD's Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the deadly shooting. There have been no charges filed at this time.
