Driver charged with vehicular manslaughter after car hits, kills woman in Auburn

Syracuse, N.Y. — A man has been arrested after his vehicle collided with a woman attempting to cross an Auburn city street Friday, police said.Christopher Dewitt was identified as the driver of the vehicle and has been charged with vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated by drugs and various traffic tickets, Auburn Police Department Captain Kyle Platt said in a news release today.
