Virginia State Police investigate shootings in Eastville, one victim dies

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) -- Virginia State Police are investigating two shooting incidents in Eastville that has left one man dead and another injured.
On Thursday evening, the Northampton Sheriff's Office contacted state police at approximately 7:45 p.m. in reference to a shooting incident in Eastville.
Upon arrival, troopers found one victim suffering serious life-threatening injuries as a result of a shooting.
Shortly after, state police received an additional call of another man suffering from serious life-threatening injuries, also as a result of a shooting.
Both men were flown to Norfolk Sentara Hospital.
One of the victims, Vantrell C. Williams, 22, from 1400 block of Harwood Street in Richmond was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
It is unclear what caused the shootings, but both incidents appear to have happened at the same time and location at the intersection of Pauline Street and Seaside Road. It also appears to be isolated with no other danger to the general public.
