MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WFRV) - The Milwaukee Police Department said that the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office issued criminal charges against a man connected to an officer-involved shooting. According to a release from the Milwaukee Police Department, Emilio A. Arner-Ortiz was sought out by officers on Monday around 9:37 p.m. for sexual assault of a child. TikTok faces possible U.S. ban amid national security and privacy concerns Officers were informed that Arner-Ortiz was in a residence, and he was contacted. Amidst the communication, Arner-Ortiz reportedly pulled out a firearm and a 'struggle' ensued between officers and Arner-Ortiz. One officer fired his gun, striking Arner-Ortiz, who was arrested and taken to a hospital for non-fatal injury treatment. Arner-Ortiz was charged with the following: Computer usage to facilitate child sex crimes Abducting a child Child enticement Second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16 years old Intentionally pointing a firearm at law enforcement 18-year-old arrested in Wisconsin for possession of child pornography A conviction could see Arner-Ortiz face up to 126 years in prison with up to $360,000 in fines.
