A third suspect was jailed this week in connection with a fatal shooting last summer in Lemon Grove, authorities said Friday.
Members of a fugitive task force arrested 45-year-old Valena Marie Gonzales of San Diego on Thursday for allegedly aiding and abetting in the slaying of Darron Singleton Jr., 23, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responding to reports of gunfire about 11 p.m. on Sept. 18 found Singleton lying in the road on Dain Court suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso, sheriff’s Lt. Michael Krugh said.
Singleton, who lived in Lemon Grove, died at the scene.

On Tuesday, the fugitive task force arrested Reality Born Grayson, 44, and Richard Charles Lee, 47, in the case. Grayson, a resident of Temecula, and Lee, of San Diego, were being held at San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of murder and conspiracy.
Gonzales, who was booked into Las Colinas women’s jail in Santee, was being held without bail pending arraignment, as were Grayson and Lee.
Authorities have revealed no suspected motive for the shooting and did not immediately disclose what led investigators to identify Gonzales, Grayson and Lee as suspects.
