SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- As wildfires continue to burn through parts of Los Angeles County, hotels in the San Diego area are offering a safe place to stay for those impacted. Many people who have been evacuated traveled to San Diego County, located about 120 miles south of the City of Angels, to stay with friends and loved ones who reside in the area. There are also those who have chosen to seek refuge at local hotels in the county until they can safely return home. "I moved to the United States nine years ago and I worked really hard to get where I am right now, so obviously seeing those fires made me really shook and scared," said Daniela Lindh, who had to evacuate her West Hollywood home due to the raging fires. How San Diegans can help those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires Lindh got a room at the Comfort Inn SeaWorld where she has been staying for the past several days. Comfort Inn is just one of more than 500 hotels in the county offering cheaper rates for those escaping the destruction in L.A. "We immediately offered special discount, which is 20%, so we also offered them to waive pet fees, because so many people needed to leave their houses with their loved ones," said Aida Li, general manager of Comfort Inn. Lindh is safe in San Diego, and thanks to the owners of Comfort Inn, staying there does not cost her as much as it normally would. To aid in the fire relief efforts, numerous other San Diego-area hotels are offering special accommodation rates and offers. The list of participating hotels, compiled by the San Diego Tourism Authority, can be found below: Intercontinental San Diego  Evans Hotels:- Bahia Resort Hotel and Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa- The Lodge at Torrey Pines Rancho Bernardo Inn  La Jolla Shores Hotel and the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club  San Diego Mission Bay Resort  La Valencia Hotel Paradise Point Resort & Spa Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina  Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego La Jolla Humphreys Half Moon Inn  Handlery Hotel Lakehouse Resort La Jolla Cove Hotel Guild Hotel  Wayfarer San Diego  Ocean Beach Hotel Best Western San Diego Zoo/SeaWorld Inn & Suites TownePlace Suites by Marriott Omni San Diego Town and Country Resort Park Hyatt Aviara Resort Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach and Hilton Garden Inn Carlsbad Beach Seabird and Mission Pacific San Diego Marriott Del Mar  For details about specific accommodations and how to book, contact the hotels directly or visit the San Diego Tourism Authority's webpage here.
