Jan 10, 2025
SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- San Diegans who rely on coastal rail service to travel between Oceanside and downtown San Diego will have to find another way to get where they need to go this weekend.
The North County Transit District (NCTD) announced all coastal rail service -- COASTER, Amtrak, and Metrolink -- will be suspended on Saturday and Sunday between the Oceanside Transit Center and the Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego for regular maintenance and infrastructure improvements.

NCTD is also alerting residents in North County that starting Friday there may be loud noises and bright lights as crews will be working at night to maintain the railroad tracks from Eaton Street in Oceanside to the Carlsbad Village Station.
Coastal rail services will return to operating on their regular schedules Monday morning.
