(KRON) – The South San Francisco Police Department has arrested a man accused of sexual battery on a SamTrans bus, according to the department. South San Francisco police officers responded to a report of sexual battery near Oakmont Drive at Bantry Lane at 5:35 p.m. on Dec. 14.  According to police, the sexual battery began on a SamTrans bus and continued onto the sidewalk after both the victim and suspect left the bus. When a bystander confronted the assailant, he fled the scene, police said.  Photos: Smoke, smoldering homes and flames as wildfires ravage Los Angeles area The South San Francisco Police Department identified the suspect as 22-year-old Muhammad Junio-Jan. According to police, Junio-Jan is an unhoused individual and unemployed.  The department gathered an arrest warrant and Junio-Jan was arrested on Jan. 7.  He has since been booked into the San Mateo County Jail.
