Syracuse, N.Y. – On the third day of a rare racketeering trial Friday, two defendants expressed their frustrations in court that they were not being allowed to face their accuser.Carl Newton Jr., 38, and Synike White, 32, are accused of acting as members of a Syracuse gang called Uptown, prosecutors said in an indictment filed in Onondaga County Court.
