The multi-purpose helmets, manufactured by Wemfg and sold on Amazon.com, do not comply with federal safety guidelines and may not properly protect a child's head in a crash.
No injuries have been reported.
The size small helmets were sold in a variety of color combinations, including blue/pink, green/blue, green/blue/purple, pink/blue/green, pink/purple/pink, pink/yellow/green, purple/pink/blue and purple/pink/yellow. The helmets have a black and red plastic knob on the for adjusting the fitting.
Anyone who purchased one of the recalled helmets is urged to stop using it and to contact Wemfg for instructions on how to receive a full refund.
