Chilly temps sticking around for a while

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A few showers will linger south of I-10 through Friday evening otherwise drier air will continue to filter in. Winds will stay breezy from the northwest at 10-15 through the night as temperatures eventually drop into the 30s. Look for low to mid 30s north with mid to upper 30s south.
Saturday will start cloudy and then slowly clear through the day as temperatures struggle to warm into the upper 40s through the afternoon. Look for lows around freezing Sunday morning along and north of I-12, and mid to upper 30s south. Daytime temperatures warm into the upper 50s.
The next rain chance moves in on Sunday afternoon. This has been trending much wetter for our area and looks like a repeat of Thursday night where a low moves along the northern Gulf bringing rain over our area. Look for showers late in the day Sunday and then periods of heavier rain overnight and early Monday.
Most of next week looks dry and cool after the rain moves out on Monday.
