Sheriff’s department hosts Benefit Road Block for injured deputy

SALEM, Ind. (WISH) — The Washington County Sheriff’s Department is hosting Benefit Road Block on Saturday.
The Benefit Road Block is a benefit for the family of Orange County Deputy Zach Andry, who was shot in the line of duty on Jan. 3 in Orange County, Indiana.
Andry on Thursday remained in a Louisville, Kentucky, hospital in critical but stable condition.

Benefit Road Block will be from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday on the Public Square in downtown Salem. Washington County Sheriff Brent Miller is asking people to drive through their roadblock and drop a donation off in one of the buckets.
Anyone unable to make it to the roadblock can donate to benefit the family of Andry at any Spring Valley Bank and Trust. People can also call 800-843-4947, the sheriff’s office says.
