JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) - An 18-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested on Friday after a three-month investigation into allegations of child exploitation.
The Janesville Police Department reports that Nathaniel Rapson was taken into custody in the 2000 block of North Sumac Drive. The investigation began in November 2024, following an anonymous tip claiming Rapson had shown sexually explicit photos of a juvenile female on his cell phone.

Detectives pursued the lead and, during the arrest, deployed K9 Maui, an electronic storage detection canine, to search for devices linked to the case. A cell phone in Rapson’s possession was examined, revealing images of child pornography.

Rapson reportedly admitted to having sexual contact with a juvenile female. He faces charges including five counts of possession of child pornography, second-degree sexual assault of a child, and a probation violation.
