Package 'posed no threat' at Eastwood High School

UPDATE: A spokesperson from YISD says the situation posed no threat, and students have returned to their regular schedule.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — Eastwood High School was placed on a "secure hold" Friday afternoon, Jan. 10, after administration was notified of a suspicious package on the north side of campus, according to a spokesperson with the Ysleta Independent School District (ISD).

The spokesperson says Ysleta ISD security and El Paso Police were notified and are at the school to examine the package and conduct an investigation.
All students are safe and being kept away from the area, the spokesperson said.
"No one is being allowed to leave campus, and all students will be provided with a lunch meal today. Please be assured that safety is the No. 1 priority at the Ysleta Independent School District, and we take every precaution to ensure the security of all students and staff," the spokesperson said.
