  COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Waiting on trains on Assembly Street in Columbia may soon be a thing of the past. On Friday morning, Jan. 10, Congressman Jim Clyburn and city officials announced more than 204 million dollars in federal funding for the Assembly Street Railroad Project. Officials say the work will make crossroads safer, decrease traffic delays, and improve air quality. The funding came from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Categories: Local News
