BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A train crash in Livingston Parish claims the life of one woman on Friday. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, deputies were responding to a train crash shortly before 5 p.m. on Florida Boulevard, near Ware Lane, which is east of the town of Livingston. Deputies said a train reportedly struck a pedestrian. Officials are asking that drivers and commuters avoid the area as delays are to be expected. Canadian National Railway is now on the scene. No further information was immediately available. This is an ongoing investigation.
