ARLINGTON, Va. (DC News Now) -- The search for someone special is set to heat up in Rosslyn where people can attend Cuffing Season 2.0.
The event, sponsored by the Rosslyn Business Improvement District (BID) is a "Mix & Minlge Happy Hour" that includes drinks, games, and more.
It's Rosslyn BID's second event of cuffing season which takes place in the colder months of the year.
What is cuffing season?
Cuffing season begins in October and lasts until March, although Merriam-Webster says most people consider the season to culminate with Valentine's Day in February: "According to most lifestyle writers, it’s the time of the year when the weather starts to turn cold and single people begin the active search for romantic partners in the hope of having someone with whom to ride out the colder, snowier, bleaker months."
"Cuffing" is supposed to refer to "handcuffs," or the idea of people being tied to one another.
