OZAWKIE (KSNT) - A local Latin grill owner said his heart ached after his restaurant in Ozawkie caught fire. At 3 a.m. on Friday, Lago Vista Grill said it experienced a devastating fire that caused significant damage to the restaurant. "This restaurant wasn’t just mine; it belonged to the community," Lago Vista Grill wrote on Facebook. "It was a safe place, a place where memories were made and stories shared. With so many restaurants in our area disappearing, this loss feels deeply personal—not just for me, but for all of us." Lago Vista Grill said it was overwhelmed by the support from the community. It said their food trailer is still operational and ready for catering. ‘How are the roads?’: Topeka highway update "Thank you all for your support, kindness, and belief in what we’ve created together," Miguel A.
