Gov. Beshear urges safety as more snow moves in
Jan 10, 2025
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Governor Andy Beshear announced the closure of state offices and urged Kentuckians to stay safe on the roads as another winter storm moves across the state.
According to Beshear, there were no reports of major injuries from Sunday’s storm, but he emphasized caution for the incoming weather. State offices will be closed, and executive branch agencies will operate remotely for the day.
“Team Kentucky is going to be working hard from home, working remotely to make sure we’re getting services provided to our people. We’ve gotten through 8 inches of snow, a half to three-quarters of an inch of ice, and so much more, and we haven’t had any major injuries yet,” Beshear said.
The governor advised drivers to check traffic conditions before heading out to ensure safety. For updates on road conditions, visit goky.ky.gov.
