FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Unemployment rates are on the rise across the state, with increases reported in all but one county, according to the latest report from the State Center for Statistics.
Officials say Martin County currently has the highest unemployment rate in Kentucky, at 11.8%. Meanwhile, Woodford County boasts the lowest rate, at 3.6%. In Fayette County, the unemployment rate stands at 4%.
Statewide, unemployment was recorded at 5% for November, marking a nearly 1% increase compared to the same time last year.
