WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — If you still need to get rid of that old Christmas tree, the city of Winston-Salem has multiple options available.
Earlier this month, the city released a news flash detailing the various ways residents can get rid of their trees. If you're still hanging onto yours, this is your sign to send it packing.
If you live in a single family home, you can put it on the curb for pick-up during regular brush collection, with all decoration and other items removed.
If you live in an apartment or are outside of city limits, the city has the following recycling locations available through the end of the month:
Crawford Park, 4226 Oak Ridge Dr.
Hanes Hosiery Recreation Center, 501 Reynolds Blvd.
Hanes Park (tennis court parking lot), 625 West End Blvd.
Little Creek Recreation Center, 610 Foxcroft Dr.
Old Town Recreation Center (tennis court parking lot), 4550 Shattalon Dr.
Parkland Park (tennis courts), 1660 Brewer Rd.
Polo Park (swimming pool parking lot), 1850 Polo Rd.
Salem Lake (at the gate), 1001 Salem Lake Rd.
Sprague Street Recreation Center, 1350 E. Sprague St.
Winston Lake Park, 3535 Winston Lake Rd.
These yard waste facilities will accept trees for free through the 17th:

Forum 52 Yard Waste Facility, 180 Northstar Drive, Rural Hall, N.C. 27045.
