MENOMINEE, Mich. (WFRV) - A 74-year-old man from Upper Michigan died Thursday evening after being hit by a vehicle while crossing the road.
According to the Menominee City Police Department, the collision occurred shortly after 7 p.m. at the intersection of 10th Street and 38th Avenue.

The pedestrian, identified as Kenneth J. Smith of Menominee, sustained fatal injuries in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Menominee City Police Department and Michigan State Police. Authorities extended their thoughts and prayers to those impacted by the tragedy.
