IMPERIAL BEACH, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A motorcyclist was seriously hurt in a crash Thursday in Imperial Beach. The collision between the motorcyclist and car occurred just after 8 a.m. in the 1300 block of Palm Avenue, Sgt. Patrick Evans with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a news release. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the unconscious motorcyclist lying face down on the ground. Brush fire breaks out in East County First responders took the victim, who was breathing, to a hospital for his injuries. His status is unknown at this time. The driver of the car remained on scene and cooperated with deputies. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation at 619-498-2400.
