(KRON) -- A pregnant Gilroy woman who was killed by a suspected DUI driver on New Year's Day was identified by county officials Thursday. Rachel Gonzalez-Gallegos and her unborn baby died from injuries suffered in a head-on collision. Gallegos was 29 years old and she was planning to name her baby Enzo, according to the victim's obituary. Her husband and young son survived the crash, family members said. "Rachel loved going to the beach, taking family trips to Disneyland and spending quality time with her guys at home. Rachel was full of ambition and so much potential (in) her career at Costco as a supervisor. May you rest in peace up in heaven with our little Enzo," her obituary writes. On January 1, Gallegos was a passenger inside a Chevrolet SUV that was hit head-on by a GMC pickup truck that crossed over double yellow lines on Leavesley Road near New Avenue, California Highway Patrol officers said. The pickup truck driver, 50-year-old Jesus Carlos Temores, was drunk and speeding leading up to the deadly wreck east of Gilroy, according to prosecutors and CHP investigators. Temores is now facing murder charges in Santa Clara County for the death of Gallegos and her unborn baby. A funeral for the victims will be held in Gilroy on January 15, the obituary states. A GoFundMe page is raising money for Gallegos' funeral expenses.
