Public Service Commission orders water utility continue to service Livingston residents
Jan 09, 2025
A Public Service Commission order says the Wood Creek Water District must continue running water for residents in the Rockcastle County town of Livingston.
That comes after the utility temporarily ended water service to some residents in November. Livingston has been accruing $94,849.29 in debt to Wood Creek since 2006.
The order says the city made a $9,729.63 payment towards their bill in November.
The PSC says the water district cannot end Livingston’s service while it continues to pay its bills. Wood Creek would have to notify the town 20 days before a shutoff if a payment is missed.
The Commission is continuing to investigate why and how the city accrued the debt.
