Stokesdale woman dies after crash in Greensboro on Battleground Avenue, police say

GREENSBORO, N.C. (WGHP) -- A Stokesdale woman died after a crash in Greensboro this week on Battleground Avenue, according to a Greensboro Police Department news release.
On Monday at 5:43 p.m., Greensboro officers, Greensboro firefighters and Guilford County EMS responded to the 3100 block of Battleground Avenue when they were told about a crash with injuries.
The driver of a Toyota Highlander was going south on Battleground Avenue, made a left turn into the parking lot of 3136 Battleground Avenue and hit a Nissan Altima in the northbound lane.
Both drivers and the back passenger in the Toyota were treated for injuries.
On Tuesday, the back passenger in the Toyota, identified as Fumiko Head, 87, of Stokesdale, died from her injuries.
The driver of the Toyota was cited with failure to yield.
