ROCKVILLE, Md. (DC News Now) -- "Rockville is rolling — and walking, biking and driving — into the new year," the city of Rockville said in a news release. Officials said that a new bus boarding platform that was installed in Rockville Town Center on Nov. 25 is part of Vision Zero to make streets safer. The platform was also part of the Beall Avenue Complete Streets and Asphalt Art project, which included traffic-calming features and safety features and buffered bicycle lanes and on-street parking. Bethesda neighbors frustrated with Montgomery County’s snow removal efforts The release said the project also installed five different pedestrian and bicycle counters at the following locations: Along the Carl Henn Millennium Trail, between Gaither Road and Piccard Drive. Along the Stoneridge shared-use path near Wootton Parkway. At the southern entrance of the Sister City Friendship Bridge over Interstate 270 near MD 28/West Montgomery Avenue. Along the Twinbrook Connector Trail near Ardennes Avenue. Along the Baltimore Road shared-use path near Gladstone Drive.
