Man stabbed at motel after visiting friend in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A man was stabbed by his friend's ex-boyfriend after a visit to a Fresno motel, according to the Fresno Police Department.
Officers say on Thursday at around 2:30 a.m. they responded to the Motel 6 at Blackstone and Herndon avenues for a report of a stabbing. They arrived to find that the victim had left the scene and gone home. The victim was later taken from his home to the hospital to treat what was described as a non-threatening stab wound to his chest.
Investigators established that the victim had gone to visit a friend at the Motel 6 and when he was leaving the friend's ex-boyfriend confronted the victim and started to fight him. That fight ended with the victim being stabbed.
The incident remains under investigation. The identities of those involved have not been officially released.
