Kohl's closing 10 California stores, including two in San Diego area

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) --Kohl's is undergoing some real estate changes in the first half of 2025, including the closure of several of its store locations.
The retail chain announced Thursday it will be closing 27 of its stores in underperforming locations by April. Ten of these locations are in California, with two in San Diego County.
These will be the most competitive housing markets in 2025, Zillow report predicts
"All associates have been informed and offered a competitive severance package or the ability to apply to other open roles at Kohl's," the company said. "Kohl's thanks our associates for their work and is working to support our associates during this transition."
As of Thursday, the Kohl's California locations scheduled to shut down by April include the following:
Balboa (San Diego) - 5505 Balboa Ave.
Encinitas - 134 N. El Camino Real
Fremont - 43782 Christy St.
Mountain View - 350 Showers Dr.
Napa - 1116 1st St.
Pleasanton - 4525 Rosewood Dr.
Point West (Sacramento) - 1896 Arden Way
San Rafael - 5010 Northgate Dr.
San Luis Obispo - 205 Madonna Rd.
Westchester - 8739 S Sepulveda Blvd.
Additionally, the San Bernardino E-commerce Fulfillment Center is set to close when its lease expires in May, the company said.
