Jan 09, 2025
WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The Kansas Department of Transportation has reopened westbound Interstate 70 at Goodland. It was previously closed because of winter weather conditions in Colorado.
The Colorado State Patrol says the closure was due to adverse conditions, multiple crashes and jackknifed semi-trucks.
Hazardous travel late Thursday due to snow
I-70 is closed eastbound/westbound from Burlington to Airpark Boulevard just outside Denver.
U.S. Highway 40 is closed eastbound and westbound from Limon to Kit Carson.
Meanwhile, southern Kansas will receive a round of winter weather starting this afternoon and overnight. Light snow accumulations could lead to hazardous, slick conditions. To track Kansas road conditions, click here.
