Jim Tonglet, Managing Partner, Ericksen Krentel CPAs and Consultants — Ericksen Krentel has elected James (Jim) E. Tonglet CPA, CGMA as the firm’s sixth managing partner, effective January 1, 2025. As managing partner, Tonglet will oversee the firm’s operations, providing strategic direction and leadership across all functions. He will be responsible for driving growth, fostering innovation, and enhancing the firm’s services to better meet the evolving needs of clients. His audit and accounting experience spans more than 35 years. He is licensed to practice as a CPA in Louisiana, Mississippi, and other states. Tonglet serves as chairman of the Slidell Memorial Hospital Foundation and Pope John Paul II High School’s Finance Committee, vice president of the Rising Phoenix Referral Group, a member of the AICPA, Society of Louisiana CPAs, the Louisiana Government Finance Officers Association, the Northshore Business Council and the Brother Martin Alumni Association/Crimson and Gold Business Network, and past treasurer of the Knight of Columbus Council 2732 and St. Margaret Mary Parish Finance Council. Tonglet started his career as an intern with the firm. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of New Orleans.
