Victim assistance provided at Family Justice Center in Jan. 1 attack

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Federal Bureau of Investigations has closed its Family Assistance Center for victims of the Bourbon Street attack.
Despite the closure, the FBI handed over assistance to local partners including the American Red Cross and United Way of Southeast Louisiana who will continue to offer help to those who need it.

Offered services include:
Mental Health Services
Lodging, financial, and legal assistance
Personal effects return
Crime victim reparation fund applications
Needs assessment
Investigation interviews
Individuals who believe they are victims in this "horrific attack," will be asked to fill out a survey describing what they experienced.

Law firms announce civil investigation into terror attack ahead of filing suit
Assistance will be provided at a resiliency center, open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Orleans Family Justice Center on Loyola Avenue.
