According to publicly available online court records, 33-year-old Emily Spenard was sentenced on Thursday after she pleaded guilty to causing serious bodily injury when operating a vehicle while intoxicated (Level 5 Felony). Her additional charges were dismissed.
This sentence stems from an incident that took place in April of 2024. Here, Spenard hit and hospitalized Branton Givens Jr., a nine-year-old baseball player, while he was walking on the sidewalk.
