INDIANAPOLIS — Weezy is returning to Indianapolis, and this time with special guests! Lil Wayne, the hip-hop legend who performed last year in downtown Indy during NBA All-Star Weekend, is making another stop in the Circle City. The rapper announced Thursday that his upcoming five-city tour will tip off on Feb. 27 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Joining the multi-platinum artist will be former Migos member Quavo and up-and-coming pop singer Anella Herim. A staple of early 2000s rap, the New Orleans native is often regarded as one of the defining artists in his genre. In 2018, Wayne's album "Tha Carter V" clinched the number one spot on the Billboard 200 and had the "second-largest streaming week for an album in history." Tickets for Wayne's downtown Indy show are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 on Ticketmaster's website and also at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse box office. For more information, click here.
