HONOLULU (KHON2) -- For Jillian Marc Jefry Felipe, landing a job at Ernst & Young (EY) was the culmination of a well-prepared journey that began long before his spring 2024 graduation from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Shidler College of Business. He credits the college’s robust career development resources for helping him make a smooth transition into the workforce. “The Shidler College of Business has provided me with all the tools to grow and achieve my personal and professional goals,” Felipe said. “What I found most valuable was the abundance of resources Shidler offers to its students.” Eva Asiskovich, a fellow spring 2024 graduate with a degree in finance, accounting, and management information systems, is now a financial analyst at Amazon. She says that her time at Shidler helped her gain the skills, knowledge, and credentials needed for her current role. Motorists warned of increased traffic as UH students return for semester “Attending UH was pivotal to my success,” Asiskovich shared. “It gave me the tools to pursue and seize opportunities.” Felipe and Asiskovich’s success stories reflect a broader trend at Shidler. Data from the 2022–2024 period shows that 91% of recent business administration graduates secured jobs within three months of graduation, with 89% landing roles in their desired industries. The college also facilitates over 400 student internships annually. “These outcomes show our commitment to not just educating students, but preparing them to be leaders in their fields,” said Shidler College of Business Dean Vance Roley. “By combining rigorous academics with hands-on experience and professional development, we continue to help our graduates thrive in Hawaiʻi’s business community and beyond.” Maxen Donate, a 2024 graduate with a degree in management information systems and marketing, is an associate IT analyst at Hawaiian Airlines. He attributes his career success to the solid foundation provided by Shidler’s challenging curriculum.
