DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) - A De Pere High Schooler is off to Nottingham, England, as part of the Team U.S.A. synchronized skating team. Senior Mikayla Garot is part of the team that will compete at the Britannica Cup from January 10-12, as she and her United States teammates go head-to-head with other teams. Door County candlemakers raising money for Los Angeles fire victims through ‘Golden State’ candle The teams they'll face off with are from the United Kingdom, France and Finland. The competition lasts two days. Garot also earned a 'platinum' level from the U.S. Figure Skating Association, the highest level a high school senior skater can earn.
