(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) continues to look for a second vehicle that may have been involved in a fatal hit-and-run that happened on Wednesday morning, Jan. 8 at the intersection of Peterson Road and Constitution Avenue. On Thursday, Jan. 9 at noon, CSP said the driver of the first vehicle involved has since come forward and has spoken with investigators. "Investigators are still looking for a second vehicle that was turning left behind a black truck, and any other witnesses with information," CSP wrote. According to CSP, troopers responded to the intersection of Peterson Rd. and Constitution Ave. just after 7 a.m. on Wednesday. CSP said the driver of a pickup truck hit a pedestrian before driving from the scene. Troopers said the victim, identified as a 76-year-old woman, was pronounced dead on the scene. CSP said the crash is still being investigated and no charges have been filed at this time.
