(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The intersection of Briargate and North Academy Boulevards near the Chapel Hills Mall, is closed due to a crash that happened late Thursday morning, Jan. 9. According to the Colorado Springs Police & Fire Communications Center (CSPD Communications), the intersection is blocked due to the crash, which happened shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday and drivers should use alternate routes. According to Sr. Public Communications Specialist Caitlin Ford Blanco of the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), two vehicles were involved in the crash, and at least one person was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
