1 arrested after probation officers find rifle and cocaine during house search in Shafter

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- A 21-year-old felon on probation was arrested in Shafter on Wednesday after allegedly being found with a rifle and drugs.
The Kern County Probation Department arrested Steven Gafner, 21, after officers discovered a .22 caliber Rifle, 123 rounds of ammunition, 2.8 grams of suspected cocaine, an operable digitalscale, 335 grams of marijuana and cash in the 200 block of Golden West Avenue.
6 pounds of narcotics, cash seized by KCSO Gang Unit
Probation officers conducted the house call at about 1 p.m.

Gafner was arrested under suspicion of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, as well as a violation of probation.
