BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- Kern County sheriff's deputies arrested a felon and seized about 6 pounds of methamphetamine in southwest Bakersfield on Wednesday. On Jan. 8, deputies in the Gang Suppression Unit arrested 50-year-old Michael Anglin after performing a traffic stop in the area of Ming Avenue and Ashe Road. Anglin was allegedly in possession of 6 pounds of meth, large sums of currency and other indicia for narcotics sales, according to KCSO. A search warrant was obtained for a residence in the 2800 block of North Half Moon Drive and after investigating, deputies recovered 6 pounds of methamphetamine, over $8,000 in cash and a loaded firearm. Anglin was arrested under suspicion of felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance while armed and maintaining a property for the sales of a controlled substance.
