In the beginning, the Prius filled the void for those who looked for practicality and saving a bundle on gas by a renowned automaker; Toyota landed this car, and it has been a success for more than two decades as the first mass-produced hybrid in the industry. The 2024 Toyota Prius Limited continues its legacy as a leader in hybrid efficiency, but comes equipped with numerous amenities, a boost in performance, and quite frankly, looks stellar. Ultimately, the eco-conscious drivers still get the perks of a hybrid drivetrain and overall value, but now heads will turn even more with its styling.  Photos courtesy of ToyotaBesides the plug-in hybrid, Prime, the Prius Limited with all-wheel drive is the top-of-the-line model due to a number of upgrades. I appreciated how sleek and aerodynamic the exterior was, flaunting the 19-inch alloy wheels, Bi-LED headlights, power liftback, and glass roof. Dressed in Toyota’s “Supersonic Red”—a color that perfectly implicates the performance upgrade under the hood—the 2.0-liter, DOHC 16V VVT-i 4-cylinder paired with Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive System tops out at 196 horsepower. Graciously, the Limited is still maintaining a phenomenal gas-using rate averaging 49 miles per gallon. The interior gets the job done with premium SofTex-trimmed seats that are temperature controlled in the front, with optional heated seats in the rear ($350). The heated steering wheel, aforementioned fixed glass roof, and ambient cabin lighting add to the cool factor.Photos courtesy of ToyotaThere is a lot of tech love with the 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia system; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility; and a sonically pleasing eight-speaker JBL sound system. Other pluses include a digital rearview mirror, panoramic view monitor (Advanced Technology Package), a Qi wireless smartphone charger, and six USB-C ports to make sure multiple passengers are happy.Safety is certainly a priority with this automaker as well. The Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 will ease the mind, with Pre-Collision, pedestrian detection, a blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, and Safe Exit Assist, which helps prevent accidents when getting out of the vehicle. The front and rear parking assist with automatic braking will ensure no incidents in especially tight spaces as well. All in all, the 2024 Toyota Prius Limited AWD performs an exceptional balancing act between practicality and sporty styling a wide range of consumers from different demographics would enjoy. Whether it’s city commutes or road trips, the Prius Limited should receive some serious consideration.Fuel Economy: 49 city/50 highway/49 combinedPrice: The 2024 Toyota Prius Limited AWD is $36,365 MSRP, and $38,724 including handling, processing, Advanced Technology Package, optional equipment, and delivery as reviewed. For more information, visit Toyota.comThe post Street Lines: 2024 Toyota Prius Limited AWD appeared first on The Atlanta Voice.
