At least 3 RPD officers testify in taxi driver murder trial

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The trial continues for David Porter, a man accused of beating and fatally shooting a taxi cab driver in Rochester last April.
News 8 is following the trial on Thursday morning. So far, at least three Rochester police officers have taken the witness stand. At this time, it's unclear what they have testified to.

Porter pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of David Treese III. Treese was working as a cab driver on April 22nd when he was dispatched to First Street. It was alleged Porter pistol-whipped Treese before shooting him multiple times. He later died from his injuries.
Furthermore, after the shooting, Porter was accused of driving away inside the taxi cab before crashing near Central Park and running away.
