(KRON) -- Two Southern California residents suspected of burglarizing a U.S. Postal Service vehicle in South San Francisco vehicle were arrested, police announced Wednesday. The USPS vehicle was delivering mail on Alta Mesa Drive when it was burglarized last week, the South San Francisco Police Department (SSFPD) said. Investigators used Flock license plate reader cameras to find a suspect vehicle. (South San Francisco Police Department)(South San Francisco Police Department) A day after the reported burglary, the suspect vehicle was spotted at a nearby hotel, authorities said. Two suspects were arrested, identified by SSFPD as 32-year-old Sassy Acevedo and 35-year-old Salvador Alvarado, both of Southern California. Boxes of stolen mail and narcotics connected to the case were recovered in South San Francisco as well as other Bay Area cities, police said. Daly City KFC closes after nearly 60 years, replaced by Filipino restaurant Acevedo and Alvarado were booked into San Mateo County Jail for burglary, identity theft and narcotics charges.
