The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office's K-9 "Duke" was deployed to assist detectives in searching Flores-Navarro's residence for narcotics. According to police, Duke alerted to the presence of drugs in the kitchen. A search of that area allegedly revealed approximately 4 pounds of suspected meth and a digital scale concealed there.

Police said that without Duke, detectives would most likely not have located the suspected drugs.
Flores-Navarro has at least two prior convictions for sales of narcotics/controlled substances, police said.
Flores-Navarro was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of being in possession of a controlled substance for sale and doing so with two prior convictions.
He is being held without bail and his next court appearance is scheduled for Friday, according to jail records.
