WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - Several fire crews responded to a fire that destroyed a mobile home in Nickerson early Thursday. The fire happened just after 1 a.m. in the 200 block of N. Paine St. Crews arrived and saw flames coming from all areas of the home. The Hutchinson Fire Department and Reno County Fire District No. 8 were requested for mutual aid. Reno County Emergency Management says the people who live in the home were able to escape the fire. The home is a total loss, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
