ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Northeast Dairy Business Innovation Center (NE-DBIC) now offers grants to dairy farmers across the Northeast to improve farm viability, economic stability, worker conditions, and climate resilience. The NE-DBIC has $950,000 in funding to provide to farms in New York, Massachusetts, and Vermont, as well as Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island. Dairy farmers as well as technical service providers, producer associations, and milk buyers or processors that have a project directly benefiting a group of fairy farmers in all 11 states can apply on the NE-DBIC website from now until February 20 at 2 p.m. The grant can range from $15,000 to $100,000. The NE-DBIC hopes these grants will strengthen the farms' ability to respond to challenges.
