HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. (WSAV) – A pair of bald eagles on Hilton Head Island now has their first eggs of the new nesting season. The Hilton Head Island Land Trust's Eagle Cam Nest caught the births on video. The first egg was laid on Jan. 3 at 6:54 p.m., and the second followed on Jan. 7 at 6:50 p.m. Melon-headed whales strand on Tybee and Sea islands, a first for Georgia The eagles, Gracie and George, have been taking turns keeping the eggs warm since. To keep track of the eagles' season, follow the Land Trust's Facebook page and website. The Land Trust also follows owls and raptors with their cams.
