(WRIC) -- Richmond Mayor Danny Avula is expected to provide an update on the city's water treatment plant restoration efforts as the fourth day of the boil water advisory continues. Avula is scheduled to speak around noon on Thursday, Jan. 9. A livestream of the press conference will be available in the video player of this article when he is ready to speak. An update from the city earlier this morning reported that the city's water reservoir had filled to 17 feet overnight -- the maximum fill being 18 feet. Additionally, officials reported that eight zones at the water treatment plant had been brought back online. The city is still recommending residents continue conserving water as system-wide testing can only begin after the last zone gets pressurized up to 20 psi. The boil water advisory is still in effect.
