MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- A 2010 homicide investigation that went cold is heating back up 15 years later after the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations announced a man has officially been charged in the case. David Clinton Weaver of Madison County was eventually suspected to be the person responsible for Dean's death, and on January 6, 2025, the Hardeman County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Weaver with First Degree Murder. Weaver was arrested on Wednesday by U.S. Marshals and is being held at the Hardeman County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
